Give the gift they’d choose in the pro shop
Most golf gifts fail on one variable — the wrong hand, the wrong flex, the wrong compression. We explain the categories, name the thing you have to confirm before you order, and show where the extra money stops buying anything real.

Start with the golfer, not the gadget
Almost every golf gift falls into one of three tiers, and the tier decides how much you need to know about the recipient before you buy.
Balls, gloves, tees, towels
The safest tier in golf gifting. A golfer replaces these on a schedule, so nothing has to be guessed except the hand of the glove — and there is no wrong quantity.
Rangefinders, headcovers, bags, leather goods
The tier where taste enters and fit mostly does not. This is where a gift can feel considered without asking the recipient a single question first.
Clubs, shoes, launch monitors
The tier to be careful with. A club is a prescription — shaft flex, lie angle, grip size — and a shoe is a size. Buy here only when the exact model has been named.

Golf balls
A true consumable, and players get attached to one model. Read the name off the sleeve in their bag pocket and buy that. Any performance difference is the manufacturer's claim, not ours.
Golf gloves
Excellent once you have the hand and the size — and the listing names the hand the glove goes on, not the golfer's handedness. Easiest route: read the size inside the cuff of a glove they already own.
Search for golf tees on Amazon
A consumable that runs out, and any tee works. Length is the only preference — long for the driver, short for irons — and mixed-length packs cover both, so nothing needs confirming.
What this site is, and what it isn’t
Gifts for Golfers covers golf gifting end to end: which categories a golfer actually keeps, which ones need a size or a hand before you order, what changes between the $25 and the $250 tier, and how to buy for a player whose garage already looks like a pro shop.
We write buying guides, not lab reviews: we have not tested every product on this page. Prices, availability and ratings change constantly — whatever Amazon shows when you click is the authoritative figure.
